Women’s Basketball Announces 2009-10 Recruiting Class

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo women’s basketball head coach Brittney Ezell announced the signing of four recruits for the 2009-10 season. Alex Sanabria (Miami, Fla./University of West Virginia), Amanda Scott (Cullman, Ala./UAB), Alex Strickland (Pinson, Ala./Clay-Chalkville) and Trena Moore-Smith (Charlotte, N.C./West Charlotte) will all join the Falcons this fall in their first season in the Peach Belt Conference.

Women’s Basketball Walk-on Tryout Reschedule Date Announced

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Head coach Brittney Ezell of the University of Montevallo women’s basketball team has announced the new tryout date for high school seniors, junior college players and currently enrolled students at the University of Montevallo. The new tryout will take place on Saturday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. All interested players need to bring along a physical that is dated within six months of June 13 due to NCAA regulations as well as an unofficial transcript from their current school.  more

Women's Basketball Walk-on Tryouts Postponed

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – In order to allow all qualified players to participate, the University of Montevallo Athletic Department has decided to postpone the women's basketball open try-out in accordance with the Alabama High School Athletic Association's decision to postpone all athletic activities throughout the state of Alabama.  With the try-out being open to high school and junior college student-athletes, we feel that this postponement will be in the best interest of all participants.  A future try-out date will be announced as soon as possible.

Women’s Basketball Set to Host Two Summer Activities

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Head coach Brittney Ezell of the University of Montevallo women’s basketball team has announced the Falcons will host a Little Lady Falcon Day Camp June 12 and 13 as well as a high school team play day. The play day will consist of 12 teams each getting four to five games on Wednesday, June 10. The Little Lady Falcon Camp will be a two-day camp for girls ages 5-12.    more
