Twenty-nine Montevallo Student-Athletes Named to GSC Spring Academic Honor Roll
 

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Montevallo athletic department was third among East Division Gulf South Conference schools with 29 student-athletes named to the Gulf South Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll. Three individuals were named to their respective All-Academic Teams for the 2008-09 year. The Falcons trailed just the University of West Florida (41) and Valdosta State University (31) who each field softball and men’s tennis teams which adds to their total number.    more

 

 

Mangum and Kelly Named to All-GSC East Division Second Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women’s tennis team (10-9) received two slots on the All-Gulf South Conference East Division Second Team. Juniors Alex Mangum (San Antonio, Texas) and Kristi Kelly (Tallahassee, Florida) were named Second Team All-GSC East.    more

Falcons Fall in Season Finale to North Alabama, 5-4

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo tennis team (10-9, 1-4 GSC East) finished up its season with a 5-4 loss at home to the University of North Alabama (8-9, 3-2 GSC East). The Falcons wrap up their best season since 2003 when they finished 12-7. The Falcons finish fifth in the East Division just one spot outside the conference tournament.   more

Falcons Pick Up First Conference Victory of the Season, 7-2

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo tennis team (10-8, 1-3 GSC East) won its first conference match of the season in a 7-2 victory over the University of Alabama-Huntsville. The win marks the 10th victory of the year, the most since 2003 when the Falcons finished 12-7. This season also marks the first winning season since 2003 as well.   more
