Three Selected as
Recipients of NCAA Degree-Completion Award
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –
Three University
of Montevallo student-athletes have been selected to receive the NCAA
Division II Degree-Completion Award. Former women’s soccer standout
Paula Radmard along with volleyball standouts Monika Tortorici
and Lauren Tortorici will receive the award for the 2009-10
school year.

Falcons Earn AVCA
Team Academic Award for 2008-09
LEXINGTON, Ky. –
The University of
Montevallo volleyball team under the direction of head coach Katie
O’Brien was awarded the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2008-09
season. The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year,
honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed
excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at
least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.

Volleyball Set to
Host Individual Summer Camp
MONTEVALLO, Ala. –
Head coach Katie
O’Brien of the University of Montevallo volleyball team has announced
the Falcons will host a three day camp from June 17-19. The camp is open
to all female athletes in grades 6-12. Coach O’Brien and her coaching
staff provide an energetic and active camp for young players who are
dedicated to developing the skills necessary to play volleyball.
