Faculty Recital

Cynthia Jones, piano, will perform.
The recital will include: Beethoven Sonata Opus 2, No. 3; Chopin Nocturne in C minor and Fantasie-Impromptu; Ravel Sonatine; and four Bagatelles by UA professor emeritus Frederic Goossen.

Art Exhibition

“Mapping the Unmappable,” works by Barb Bondy, will be on display. An opening reception with gallery talk will take place Thursday, Sept. 9, at 5:30 p.m., in the gallery. Bondy’s interests in science, mathematics, art and philosophy inform her art practice, which is directed primarily toward exploring through the mediums of drawing and photography the nature of the mind and brain. Bondy is an associate professor of art at Auburn University.
