STUDENTS TO BE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE PARKING STICKERS FOR FALL 2009

 

A decision has been made to make revisions to the current parking policies at the University of Montevallo, which will include new parking stickers for UM commuter and resident students.

The stickers (artist rendering pictured above) will be required for all UM resident and commuter students beginning in fall term 2009. The decal will be placed on the lower (right) corner of the front windshield on the passenger side of each vehicle.

Current and newly hired faculty/staff, emeriti and individuals with disabilities will continue to purchase a hangtag, which are available now for the 2009-10 school year.

The change to stickers will assist the Department of Public Safety with identifying UM students in the event they need to be contacted by university officials to move their vehicle if needed or required.

The cost for the decals this fall will be $ 25.00, the same price for parking last year. The decals will be valid for one year, expiring August 15, 2010.

Failure to purchase a parking decal may result in the receipt of parking citations.
